The Vancouver Stealth dropped a 26-11 decision to the playoff bound Calgary Roughnecks but on a game that featured fan appreciation night this was hard to swallow for the home squad.

The home squad went win-less losing all 8 games at home, but this night Stealth fans were gifted a collector’s edition Corey Small bobble head.

The gifts kept coming throughout the night, including autographed jerseys, memorabilia and 2018-19 season ticket giveaways.  on fan appreciation at the Langley Event Centre in 2018.

The opening quarter has started with an early goals 34 seconds in from Rhys Duch with Logan Schuss and Anthony Malcom getting helpers.

The Roughnecks countered with a four-goal performance that saw the first end with a 4-2 lead for the visitors.

Calgary continued their power performance with a seven-goal second quarter that saw them take a 11-6 lead to the dressing room at the half.

While the game was going to the “dogs” it was the “Superdogs” that were at time more entertaining than the game utilizing their amazing tricks and the tag-team relays that clearly entertained the stealth crowd.

Calgary wasn’t finished and managed to add 10 additional goals in the third with a commanding 21-8 lead after three quarters.

The Stealth were led by Tony Malcom who notched three (3) goals and three (3) assists, while Corey Small and Casey Jackson had 2 goals and 2 assists each.

Rhys Duch had 1 goal and 2 assists, and Logan Schuss had 1 goal and 1 assist. Seth Oakes, and Andrew Suitor had the other goals for Vancouver.

“We can only go up from here. It is hard to put into words how this season went. We love the guys in our locker room and are looking to next fall,” said Assistant Captain Logan Schuss.

He continued “We have great support here in Langley. It is incredible seeing how many fans stuck around just to chat with us after the game. Tonight, I saw kids wearing jerseys from every lacrosse organization across British Columbia and that is exactly who we want to be. We strive to be BC’s team.”

Vancouver Stealth GM Doug Locker and Owner Denise Watkins presented a check for $21,000.00 to BC Lacrosse that was calculated from the 50/50 draws during the 2018 season.

Vancouver have one more game to officially close out the season on the road against the

Georgia Swarm on Friday April 28th to officially close out the 2018 campaign of their NLL season.

The Stealth are currently offering season ticket memberships for the 2018-19 season, to register, contact an account representative at 604.882.8800 or simply clicking on this link.
