With the NLL season around the corner it’s not a real surprise to many in the area, especially lacrosse fans that the Vancouver Stealth have acquired Brodie MacDonald, the goaltender from the Georgia Swarm in exchange for a conditional 5th round pick in the 2020 NLL Entry Draft.

MacDonald mentioned “I’m really excited to start this new chapter with the Stealth and I’m thrilled to start training camp this season inside a place that has always felt like my home.”

MacDonald, a six-year NLL veteran who has played in 99 games, sporting a record of 10-14, with a 10.79 GAA and a .625 SV%, in 2017, managing to win a Champion’s Cup with the Georgia Swarm.

He has played in 98 games for the Langley Thunder of the Western Lacrosse Association (WLA), where he has a record of 40-35-4, 8.35 GAA and a .805 SV% and helped lead the WLA Langley Thunder to back-to-back Championships in 2011 and 12 and named Rookie of the Year in 2011 & 12.

“Brodie is a mature goalie who has had some great games in both the National Lacrosse League and the Western Lacrosse Association,” said Head Coach and Assistant General Manager Jamie Batley. “At 28-years-old, Brodie brings a lot of experience to our camp and we expect him to push the pace to make our roster.”

Vancouver will begin Training Camp on Saturday, November 4, from 9:00am-11:00am, 6:00pm-8:00pm and again on Sunday November 5, from 9:00am-11:00am.

The team will play two preseason games the following week on November 11, 2017, when they host the Calgary Roughnecks at 7:00pm and on November 12, 2017 at 9:00am against the Colorado Mammoth.

Pre-season and all Training Camp sessions are free and open to the public and currently the Stealth are currently offering Season Ticket Membership packages and single game tickets.
