Soccer Tourny Huge Success
Soccer tournaments are winding down for the most part and the most recent one was the 2014 SX International Cup Soccer Tournament held at the Newton Athletic Park, Surrey.
It ran from Aug. 30th & Sept. 1st with competing teams travelling from across British Columbia as well Washington State, just south of us.
The Boys tournament ran from U9 thru U15 and featured a total of 78 teams, while the Girls were from U10 to U15 with a total of 51 teams competing.
Full kudos must be given to the City of Surrey, their Parks and Recreation Department for supplying such an awesome venue allowing our youth to follow their dreams, in hopes of reaching Olympic levels.
To all the volunteers that helped out with there time in all areas a special thank you for giving as without your help and involvement, this would never happen.
Congrats to everyone for competing!!
