BWC celebrated the festive Christmas season Monday at its Annual Christmas Party with lots of fun for the little ones, and some excitement for the big kids and parents, as well.
The kids skated with Santa, played some 4 on 4 and indulged in some cookies and cake, and then got a chance, along with the adults, to meet special guest alumni Mike Santorelli of the Vancouver Canucks, pictured here with General Manager Len McNeely and Board of Directors President Ryan Wilson.
The club hoisted Santorelli’s jersey in its central display case as part of the celebration.
Mike was fresh off celebrating a 2-1 Canucks win vs Winnipeg Jets the night before, the club’s fourth game in six nights.
He played minor hockey at BWC before moving to the Vernon Vipers, then playing in the NCAA with Northern Michigan. He was drafted in the sixth round in 2004 by Nashville.
He’s notched 8 goals and 18 assists in 39 games with the Canucks this season.
