Rumors run fast and furious in today’s sporting world and the most recent rumor is the one of Jacques Chapdelaine heading to Simon Fraser University.
He was the Head Coach of the of the Université Laval Rouge et Or for three years (1997 to 2000) winning the first Vanier Cup in school history in 1999.
His eldest son, Matt, played wide receiver for the Alberta Golden Bears then transferred to SFU and then was drafted in the sixth round, 46th overall in the 2010 CFL Draft by the BC Lions.
His younger son, Justin, is currently the Queen’s Golden Gaels starting quarterback.
It is believed that Jacques is to be the leading candidate for the Montreal Alouettes offensive coordinator vacancy that is currently open.
Simon Fraser plays in the NCAA as part of the Division 2 Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
