Rugby Canada Hall Of Fame Induction
Rugby Canada is proud to be hosting the 2014 annual awards dinner and the first ever Hall of Fame induction ceremony in April 2014.
The vision behind the Hall of Fame is to honour legends from the past and inspire future athletes, coaches, match officials and volunteers to help push Rugby Canada by continuing the growth and success seen in recent years.
Nominations are open and available online via the awards and recognition button on Rugby Canada’s website.
Throughout 2013 Rugby Canada has reached all time bests on a variety of stages.
The men’s team qualified for the 2015 World Cup and was one loss short of winning the Pacific Nations Cup.
The men and women both managed their best ever finish in the Rugby World Cup Sevens Series with the women losing in the final, and both the U20 and senior women’s 15 squads won their respective Nations Cups.
This success demonstrates there are plenty of deserving individuals for the annual awards. It will certainly make for a difficult decision and no doubt a very tight race in the polls so be sure to make your vote!
Awards are being given out in the areas of annual appreciations, match official of the year, coaches of the year, player of the year, union of year, young player of year, and volunteer of the year award.
The Window for nominations closes on November 30th 2013, voting for the “Player of the Year” awards will take place after nominations are submitted.
The nomination is an easy process and can be found online at awards.rugbycanada.ca.
Rugby Canada encourages everyone to take a minute and cast their vote!
