Possible Playoff Implications

This night saw rookie “Junior Reporter” Markus Bollen attend the game to brighten his knowledge of the game as well as add to the story for the site.

Initially we first had a seat in the back row of the press-box but Markus was intent on moving up to the front row only after fellow reporter Brook Ward, sat in front of us, but did move allowing Markus to see the game better.

The Lions are looking at making a comeback against the Bombers at BC Place as the first game saw the Bombers defeat the Lions by a 10 point margin of 23-13.

This was all due to a 4-1 turnover ratio as well as a strong defence that only allowed Bc to one TD drive, in spite of 26 first downs.

This is a game that BC must win by 11 points or more to take the season series, via the tie-breaker and should it end up in a 10 point win for BC, based on a divisional record, it would therefore favor BC.

Last week’s saw Lions QB Jonathan Jennings throw for 4 TD passes and became only the 4th Lions QB to accomplish this in his first CFL season.

This was only his second start and in the same class as Casey Printers to throw 4 TD’s this early in his starting career with the club.

To date there have been only 9 players in CFL history to throw 4 TD passes in start #2, so to accomplish this is a feat unto itself.

While this game had the fans on the edge of their seats watching Jennings managing 24-for-31 racking up 372 yds on three TD’s on two interceptions.

This game it was Emmanuel Arceneaux who grabbed two TD’s with 151 yds on his eight catches, but for Lions fans it was the Bombers who were the first to put points on the scoreboard.

They took advantage early in the first quarter on a Lions turnover that saw Winnipeg punt the ball away on their then first drive then got the ball back after BC fumbled the ball on the return only to see Jesse Briggs get possession.

The Bombers regained possession just shy of the red zone and had to settle for a 13-yard field goal by Castillo, which was his first of the night.

The previous week Jennings shocked the crowd throwing 5 TD’s and while he is still impressive and has a career in pro, this night was not his to have.

Both Jennings and Arceneaux impressed everyone in the second quarter jumping out on a TD drive for a 27-yard gain only to be followed later for a major.

One of many on this night saw the Lions field goal attempt blocked and this one was by Johnny Adam who eventually was tackled by Jennings preventing a Bomber major.

Arceneaux continued to display his talent in the first half and following a catch he avoided a tackle by Demond Washington who shoved him to the ground, but continued with the ball for a 26-yard gain.

The next play Jennings again found Arceneaux in the end zone for his second TD of the night as well as the two-point conversion taking a 23-9 lead at the half.

On this night it was “rookie” Sergio Castillo who managed all of the Bombers’ points in the first half managing three-for-three in FG attempts.

On a move out of the Bombers play-book they were on the third down having 10 yards and the ball was snapped to Briggs who ran for 11 yards for the first down.

Gamble is something some only do in Vegas, or on a site like topjapanesecasino.com, but this night saw the Bombers gamble on a third down.

This gamble for the Bombers paid off as Nichols spiralled pass to Clarence Denmark for the Bombers first TD with only 1:54 remaining to tie the contest at 26-26. The gamble you make on your favorite NFL players in football contests, like this one, on fantasy football may also pay off too, with big prizes available. Many people choose to participate in other gambling activities on casino sites, too, to get to grips with how to play before making a gamble on their favorite NFL players. You can do this at sites like https://casino-korea.com/.

With no time left on the clock Sergio Castillo did what he is paid to do and with no time left on the clock he booted a 41-yard FG for the 29-26 victory. No doubt that made the kind of person who looks into why should you play online casinos very happy when their bets paid off.

The Lions played well, but the Bombers out played them in the second half only to see just over 19,000 fans leave questioning what the Lions have to do for a win.

The Bombers face the REDBLACKS next week in Ottawa while the Lions face Edmonton, who clinched a home playoff game with a win over Calgary.

Special thanks to the BC Lions Jamie Cartmell for his assistance before, during and after the game in all areas of our media request.
