The Aldergrove Kodiaks outworked Mission City Outlaws on home ice grabbing an 8-3 win, increasing their first place lead in the Harold Brittain Standings to five points.

The game was never in doubt as the lead 5-0 after 40 minutes and added three more in the third period.

Cameron Davitt and Quincy Leroux each scored two goals each and Griffin Baillie made 29 saves in the Bears win.

The opening period saw the Kodiaks open a 3-0 lead on goals by Eric Callegari Elvis Jansons and Cameron Davitt with some timely scoring goalkeeper Griffin Baillie was outstanding as the Outlaws held a 14-6 edge in shots.

Final shots in the contest were 32-27 for the Outlaws, while Baillie finished with 29 saves in the win for the Kodiaks.

They improved their record to 18-12-2-5 with 43 points, 5 up on the Abbotsford Pilots , who are tied with the Langley Knights at 38.
