Lulay Out Six Games
Anyone that caught last Friday’s game wasn’t necessarily impressed with the outcome, especially if you are a Lions supporter.
The game saw the Lions tackle the Ottawa Redblack and late in the game Travis went down on what appeared on a innocent play late in the game.
In his first official start of the season it now appears the misfortune for Lulay to be out on the six-game injury list after suffering a dislocated shoulder in the fourth quarter.
It’s his right shoulder (the one he throws with), the same one he damaged last season on Sept. 15 against the Montreal Alouettes.
Lulay had surgery to repair the shoulder last November and spent the next nine months rehabbing it. Considering he’s injured it a second time since the first surgery, he might need shoulder dislocation surgery for a second time some time soon.
Lulay is at the young age of 30 should be on the mend quicker than someone older in the CFL or at least here’s hoping?
“Travis has suffered an injury very similar to the one he had last season,” Dr. Bob McCormack said in a Lions press release. “As a result of the dislocation, the surgery which was performed on Travis’ shoulder has been undone.”
Backup quarterback Kevin Glenn, who started the first nine games for the Lions this year, will start Saturday against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at BC Place Stadium.
Oh yea – the BC Lions won the game 7-5, but that all seems less important now that Lulay is out, considering the fact the BC Lions are hosting the 2014 Grey Cup in November at BC Place Stadium
