Cuba won its third straight game playing Guatemala in the early game in convincing fashion following a slow start in what was a low scoring game. 

Cuba came out strong opening up an early 1-0 lead in first, one more in the third and two runs in the 4th, plus and a single in the 5th that broke open the game. 

The 7th saw them explode with 10 runs over powering the Guatemala team that saw them improve to 3-1 in the tournament. 

Cuba were led by Yarianna Lopez who had five at bats managed to hammer 1 HR, 4 RBI’s on four hits, while 22-year old Rosangela Jardines tallied 3 RBI’s on 4 AB, while Yilian Rondon chipped in with 2 RBI’s on 4 AB’s. 

Cuba improved their record to 3-1 in round robin play while 34-year old Ainsley Lopez and Yilian Tornez (27) combined for a one hitter in the victory. 

Cuba has won three straight after dropping the opener to Canada in a 19-0 rout, outscoring their opposition by 25 runs and not allowed a run since the opening loss. 

Guatemala grabbed a 9-4 victory over the Bahamas on opening night and have allowed 47 runs against resulting in the three losses in the round robin schedule, but get a forfeit win over Argentina (7-0) moving to 2-3 in their group play to finish the round robin. 

They now wait to see who their opponent will be in the super round starting friday.
