The Grandview Steelers moved into a third place tie with the Delta Ice Hawks with a 2-1 overtime win in Aldergrove over the Kodiaks that saw Timothy Chow notch in the unassisted game winner.
The Steelers took the game to extra time that saw them notch in the winning goal at 2:42 of Extra time, while Nicholas Anderson kicked out 32 shots for Grandview.
Aldergrove led after the opening period scoring at 1:21 on a goal by William Mann with the only assist going to Maximilian Fritz.
The Kodiaks held a wide edge in play holding a 13-6 edge in shots testing Nicholas Anderson who kept the Steelers in the game.
Kodiaks goalkeeper Ben Giesbrecht was solid for Aldergrove in the first as they went to the intermission.
The Steelers had a better second period as Grandview got the equalizer at 18:48 as Gaudet converted a nice three way passing play from Mercer and Hall to even the game at one heading to the second intermission.
The third period featured stellar goalkeeping at both ends from Giesbrecht (Kodiaks) Anderson (Steelers) with solid saves.
Grandview struck in extra time with Timothy Chow getting a solo effort at 2:42 to record a 2-1 win.
The Steelers improve to 6-7-0-0 for 12 pts tied with the Delta Ice Hawks in the Tom Shaw Conference.
The Kodiaks fell to 3-5-1-4 for second overall in the Harold Brittain conference trailing Langley by five points who sit with 17.
Final shots in the contest were 33-27 for Aldergrove as Steelers Nicholas Anderson was credited with 32 saves while Kodiaks Giesbrecht with 25.

Two games in the BCHL action Wednesday evening that saw Nanaimo narrowly defeat Victoria by a 5-4 margin with Cole Maier scoring the game winner. .
In other action in the Interior Division, Trail Smoke Eaters pulled off a 4-1 win over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
Leading the way for the Smoke eaters was Craig Martin who picked up a three point night (2 goals-1 assist) while goalkeeper Adam Todd finished with 28 saves on 29 shots.
Redmond faced 28 shots stopping 25 through 59 minutes of play after being pulled for the extra attacker.
The game was played in the Cominco Arena in front of 927 fans while Referee Ross McDonnell assessed 9 penalties on the night.
Friday see’s Coquitlam travel to South Surrey for a 7:11 face-off.
