Islanders Could Clinch Second

Sunday see’s the end of the 2012 season for the Junior A Lacrosse season, but team standings could change given the match-up.
Friday saw night the Adanacs clinch top spot with a 16-5 win over the Bellies, while the Port Co Saints locked up fourth place with a 11-5 win over the Lakers.
Port Co the Saints win was a huge improvement over the 2011 season as they finished 11-10-0 one game above .500.
The Adanacs clinched top spot for the third straight year will be looking for a third straight Minto Cup appearance in 2012.
On the same night the Tour de Delta takes to the streets in Ladner; the Islanders have a shot at move into second place as they face-off against Nanaimo Timbermen.
This is a home and home series as the Islanders travel to Nanaimo to conclude the season.
With a win they would move past the Bellies into 2nd behind Coquitlam and a possible first round bye in the post season, which has not happened in a long while.
Sunday game is a 2:00pm start at the Frank Crane Arena.
