The recent road trip to West Kelowna coming home following a tough 3-2 loss saw the Eagles wanting more and returning to home ice in front of solid fan support was what the Doctor ordered.

On home ice and yet another game against Prince George has the Eagles wanting to make a move in the standings and given the stellar play of Davidson of late saw the Eagles jump out to an early lead at 8:29 that saw Dumas get his second of the season from Sterzer.

They held the lead until PG’s Poison charged the net getting the even-up goal with 13 seconds left in the first having the teams headed to the dressing room tied at one.

Frustrated as they were with only getting 11 shots on goal they came out with a jump and pressed the stingy “D” of PG forcing Cooper to make some remarkable stops keeping them in the game.

It wasn’t until the 9:28 mark that had Cody Schiavon notch his first of the season with Ross and Johnson working magic to get him the puck putting the Eagles up 2-1.

With Schiavon not only getting his first and keeping the puck it was only fitting that Connor Sundquist also got his first of the season at 17:54 on a solo effort giving the Eagles a 3-1 as they headed to the dressing room after two.

With PG down by two the 853 fans have seen the offensive play of PG in the past and did what they could to keep the team focused and in doing so, it obviously helped.

They came out fast and hard driving to the net every chance they had that allowed Westgard get his fourth of the season at 9:36 with helpers from Burgart and Wesley putting the Eagles up by a 4-1 lead.

With PG continuing to press one just knew that PG wasn’t finished on the board as of yet and it was a short 51 seconds later that PG’s Min Lee notched his second of the season at 10:27 getting them within two.

PG continued to press but were unable to penetrate the back of the twine forcing Davidson to make some remarkable stops, which we have become use to seeing.

With the game winding down PG pulled Cooper for the extra attacker, but somewhere along the line there was a lack of communication.

He was near the bench and as strange as it sounds, it appeared that no one was watching him thereby forcing him to retreat as the Eagles were on the attack.

Eventually one player jumped on the ice which led to a “Too Many Men” call by the officials giving the Eagles a late PP.

With the man advantage they had chances, but PG’s strong play gave them a break in the zone that saw Norton forced to take him off the puck as well as take a minor at 19:10.

Playing four on four saw PG pull the “tender” again, but it was too little too  late for PG as Surrey pulled off an impressive much needed 4-3 win.

Davidson was faced with 33 shots allowing only three, while Cooper saw 26 delivered on him, allowing four.

Eagles were 0-5 on the PP, while PG went 1-5
