Canucks Win 6th Straight

With both clubs coming off victories in the last outing, this could be a battle played in the offensive end of the ice.The Canucks enter this game without giving up a loss in regulation time in the past six consecutive games.

This is only the second of four meetings this season between both clubs and while everyone is talking about the Henrik stat, some still question the status of Roberto.

The Canucks are coming off a 5-1 win over the Flames where they came from behind, but looked extremely strong in all areas of the ice, from the mid part of the first.

The Canucks are not only getting productivity from the “senior players” but also the young guns, which is better than most teams can say.

Naslund is currently the Canucks top all-time leading scorer and surpassed Trevor Linden for the title with his 725th point December 5th/07 against the Hawks

When the Canucks play a Northwest Division rival they have posted a record of 5-0-1 thus far this season. Daniel has taken advantage of the PP, managing to grab 105 goals and ranks only second to Markus Naslund with power play goals with 114.

He (Daniel) has managed six (6) seasons with 10 or more PPG and seven seasons with 20 or more PP.

This game has the Wild wanting revenge over the loss handed to them last week in Minny, but after one it is anyone’s game, albeit the Canucks are up 13-12 in the shot dept.

This game had lots of spirit and given the fact that the Southsiders were in attendance, it brought the crowd to life. This night belonged to the Canucks and if not for Luongo, it might have been a different outcome.

The Canucks managed to pull off their sixth straight win in front of yet another sold crowd. Luongo was 7-8 on the PP and stopped 25 of 26 shots through three, while Kuemper was 2-3 on the PP and stopped 28 of the 30 shots sent his way.

Next up is Dallas on Friday and following a Valentine Day shortened skate, they should be ready for the Stars.
