A Fan’s Loss

Regardless of who you ask, there are several reasons why the Canucks managed to lose in game seven.

In conversation with some, they blame the Power Play, while other’s put the blame directly on our “tender”.

Oh yea – others blame the officiating from the series against the Hawks.

No matter what your view might be, the team had a productive season in numerous areas both on and off the ice.

Winning the Presidents Trophy, Henrik Sedin’s win of the scoring title over Martin St. Louis by a narrow five points, must mean something.

Over 82 regular season games the Canucks managed ten points more than the closest team – Washington.

They had 54 wins. 19 losses and 9 ties for 117 points. They had 262 GF, 185 GA and sat at a plus 77 overall.

They played through injuries, which were not disclosed and given the recent back-breaking of Mason Raymond, it’s no wonder why they lost.

They gave 110% all season and for anyone to even consider the fact that they never tried, so re-assess what sport you are watching.

Sports is about playing through adversity, pain and giving 100%. It’s important that we never give up and jump off the band-wagon, like far too many “so-called” fans do. Those are not true fans!!

Boston should be given credit for not quitting and winning the first cup since 1972, a 39 year drought, one less than Vancouver’s.

Luongo’s play was strong and some might question that, but it’s a fast-paced game, one in which he came up just short.

Tim Thomas became only the second American-born player to win the Conn Smythe Trophy in League history.

One has to question what motivated the Bruins? Was it the injury to Horton or was it having Bobby Orr attend game four?

While the fan’s in Vancouver and surrounding area are upset with the outcome, the team deserves a break. From management to the trainers to those behind the dressing rooms, overall it was a great season, just one game shy of what everyone wanted or expected.

While the setting at Scott and 72nd was  calm, some of the idiots in Vancouver showed how stupid they are by burning a car and taunting police.

Not unexpected as we have seen other idiots do this in 1994. Something to be proud of, showing the world how dumb a hand-few of idiots can actually be.

For those who understand hockey and love sport’s, the World should know that not everyone in Vancouver is dumb, just the morons who have nothing better to do with their time.

Get a life – you really know how to  wreck something positive!!!!!
