So you make plans to take the Family out to a sporting event in hopes of enjoying it without any issues of some “drunken” individual creating issues that are clearly unwarranted.
Sports are meant to be a fun time enjoyed by all with the Families attending paying “big bucks” to either be entertained or maybe even introduce your son or daughter to a sport they might want to have a future in.
Why is it that each year we hear of some “no brain” individual mostly at a football game running on the field so as to get their moment of fame on the big screen.
First turn off the screen and not display this for their moment of glory and second make an example of this “clown” who decides that they want to part of the show.
So now we again hear of an incident of an individual in his 20ies (and I use that term loosely) decides that he wants to be mocho and be a semi-streaker at

the most recent BC Lions game.
Now following his display of public stupidity he (so we are hearing) has hired a lawyer to represent him in a case against the BC Lions and very likely BC Place Stadium.
Fact is he entered the playing field, running across It was an incident that went viral this past weekend and now lawyers from the Preszler Law Firm.
A short statement from the Preszler Law Firm confirms they’ve been hired to represent the man who was seen, in only a jersey and blue underwear, running onto the field during the first quarter.
I watched this at home and when one least expected it he darted onto the field of play where everyone was watching him in his moment of glory or stupidity.
It was as if there was someone watching over my thoughts and I probably wasn’t alone “thinking get rid of this clown” and bingo my dream was answered.
He was hit, well more like “hammered” by BC Lions D-Back Marcell Young to which the law firm states “Our client suffered serious injuries, including a mild traumatic brain injury, as a result of being violently struck by BC Lions player Marcell Young. Our client has been released from the hospital and is now recovering at home. His future prognosis remains unclear.”
It’s reported by the VPD that he was offered a ride in the Ambulance, but refused and was issued a fine of a minimal $115.00 – REALLY!!
No doubt that the BC Lions spoke with Marcell Young, but rather than say don’t do it, they should give him a bonus for such an exceptional hit, probably one of the best at the game.
So we can assume first that this individual had been drinking and secondly he is quite possibly faking his injury trying to collect payment.
Let’s hope the legal system throws the Lions and BC Place a “Touch Down” and make an example of this person – but we all know that won’t happen.
Better yet if you’re a fan that attended the game charge this person for causing unknown damage to your Family.
It’s time to start taking this issue more serious and why does it never happen at a hockey game?
Issues such as this are making the sport look more like going to a circus rather than spending their hard earned money to take the Family out.
Better yet- go out for supper – it’ll be cheaper and chances are you won’t have a streaker in the restaurant!!
Here’s one of only a few comments I have read of late.
“Hey I ran onto the field, made and jerk out of myself, interrupted the game, and got knocked on my butt for it, now I am going to sue cause Young should not have hit me”.
