The 2011 British Columbia High School Girls Rugby Association championships wrapped up on Saturday, May 28 with the Carson Graham Eagles lifting their seventh triple-A title in the past eight years.
The Eagles capped off an undefeated season with a convincing 50-0 victory over the Cowichan Thunderbirds in the grand final hosted at Brentwood College. Jessica Neilson led all scorers with 18 points, notching two tries and four converts.
Dakota Conrad recorded a brace of tries, with further scores coming courtesy of Gen Bittorf, Claire Bunton, Alex McCawley and Kathlene Martin. Alex Harden tacked on a conversion to round out the scoring.
In the double-A title match, Heritage Park of Mission, BC, downed Shawnigan Lake School 3-0.
Robert Bateman of Abbotsford captured the Tier Two title with a 34-0 victory over Williams Lake.
The tournament featured 24 teams from across the province competing in three separate divisions.
