Golf Canada Annual General Meeting

When some teams are wrapping up the hockey season and MLB hits the training camp, it’s time to think of pulling out the clubs in hopes of hitting the links for another season.

Golf Canada recently had their AGM in Mississauga during the National Sport Federation’s Annual General Meeting this weekend in Mississauga, Ont.

McLean succeeds 2014 President Douglas Alexander while Roland Deveau becomes First Vice-President and Leslie Dunning assumes the role of Second Vice-President.

McLean told everyone “It is with great pride and humility that I assume the post of 112th President of Golf Canada and it was an honour to have served as First Vice-President under Doug and to have witnessed first-hand his tremendous leadership and unequalled dedication to our game.”

He continued “I would like to thank him and the Board for their trust and I look forward to working with our members and stakeholders to further grow our game and promote excellence in our sport.”

McLean, Deveau and Dunning will lead Golf Canada’s 2015 Board of Directors which include Charlie Beaulieu; Liz Hoffman; Dale Jackson; Rob MacDonald; Don MacKay.; Nick Marrone; Pat Thompson as well as immediate past President Douglas Alexander.
