The Vancouver Whitecaps FC held their annual kickoff event for media and Season Ticket Members in Vancouver at the Commodore Ballroom with the first home game being played against the Toronto FC.
The event was a taste of what the upcoming season holds for anyone attending the games.
First its pro sport and for those attending the Whitecaps provide a fun, Family event.
The event was co-hosted by CTV Sports Director Perry Solkowski and Whitecaps FC midfielder Russell Teibert.
It included a Q&A with Carl Robinson and WFC2 Head Coach Alan Koch, as well as a meet and greet with those on hand – plus lots of selfies.
In addition it was also the first chance to purchase the “new” 2015 Whitecaps FC kit, now available to the public.
Upon entering our first introduction was a meet and greet with Carl Valentine, who is the ambassador for the club.
Also the players were walking around the room signing autographs, taking photo’s and generally talking about the team and the upcoming season.
The home opener is set for Saturday March 7th at 3 pm, not the normal 7 pm time.
