FAMILIAR FACES RETURN

Published on

Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club will head into the 2013 season with a number of familiar faces leading the way.

On Monday, the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club re-assigned manager Clayton McCullough, Pitching Coach Jim Czajkowski and Hitting Coach Dave Pano to Vancouver. “I think whether you are a player or a coach, you always hope to get the opportunity to defend a championship.
Vancouver is a tremendous place for our players to come to develop their skills, playing in front of a fan base that is the best in the Northwest League.

I can speak on behalf of our entire staff when I say that we are very excited to be coming back to Vancouver this coming season,” states McCullough who was named the Northwest League Manager of the Year in 2012 as he led the Canadians to a 46-30 regular season record and a NWL Championship.

For Jim Czajkowski and Dave Pano, this marks their third straight season with Vancouver, having been a part of both Vancouver Canadians Championships (2011 & 2012).

The Vancouver Canadians will have a new trainer for the upcoming season as Reggie Mungrue replaces Drew McDonald whom the Blue Jays promoted to Class-A Lansing after a successful tenure with the C’s in 2012.

The Vancouver Canadians open their 2013 home schedule on Monday, June 17th at 7:05pm against the Spokane Indians out at historic Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium.

Tickets are available by calling 604.872.5232, online at canadiansbaseball.com or by visiting the Nat Bailey Stadium Box Office at 4601 Ontario Street in Vancouver, B.C.
