Canucks Sports & Entertainment officially announce a new partnership with Toyota Canada Inc. and its dealers in British Columbia.

The new partnership will include a number of new and exciting opportunities for fans for the upcoming season.

This includes a Toyota Tundra – the full-size pick-up that will be painted in Canuck colours and used for team appearances at local events.

Victor de Bonis, Chief Operating Officer, Canucks Sports & Entertainment told the media “Toyota has built its brand on decades of innovation and attention to customer service.”

For each home game, one lucky child will experience the life of a Canucks trainer and receive a behind the scenes tour as well as the opportunity to watch warm up from the Canucks bench.

The winner will also receive tickets to that night’s game.

This season, six individuals will also get the opportunity to travel to a Canucks road game and receive an exclusive experience, presented by Toyota Canada Inc.

The Vancouver Canucks announced that new integrated solutions such as walk-through metal detectors (magnetometers) will be installed at all main entrances to Rogers Arena as a measure for upgrading the overall security.

Fans are strongly encouraged to arrive 15-20 minutes earlier than they usually would, and even earlier if they typically arrive close to puck drop.

The new safety improvement are part of the National Hockey League’s initiative to standardize security procedures at all league arenas.

Fans will now be asked to remove all metal objects from their pockets before passing through the metal detectors, similar to those used at airports, only without the need to screen luggage.

Only in unique circumstances will a pat-down or hand-held wands be used, allowing fans to enter the arena as quickly as possible.

All bags will also be subject to inspection, as per previous fan safety protocols.

These new security measures are consistent with those in effect at all other NHL venues, as well as NBA, MLB and NFL venues.
