Dress Up 4 New Year’s Eve
With no hockey being played at the NHL level, some teams are going retro in more ways than one.
Philly’s AHL Affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms have turned the corner and dressed up or down, depending on how you look at the uniform.
They may have lost to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in a shootout on New Year’s Eve but wanted to close out 2012 in style.
When you think of it, this is not such a bad idea and can you imagine the look of the other team when they are going in to check you.
Take a double take, but it did add class to the game and on such a special evening too.
The Phantoms decided to go tuxedo jersey for their New Year’s Eve game. We didn’t even know going tuxedo jersey was a thing, but they went there.
I have to say, I’m surprised Bridgeport didn’t just shake their opponents’ hands and call it a night once the Phantoms took the ice rocking these bad boys.
When the team you’re playing is wearing tuxedo jerseys you know you’re getting out-classed — no matter what the final score says.
