Deflate-Gate Continues

Published on

I think everyone knew from the outset that someone was lying and the one’s that were being made to look foolish was the NFL itself.

Cheating is one thing, but cheating and making money or winning a Championship is something that goes beyond the realm of showing sportsmanship.

Did we believe Tom Brady with he spoke so elegant about him not knowing about the deflated balls and how it could have ever have happened.

He had no idea and for the most part everyone was shifting the blame on the trainer for the Patriots.

Well it finally came out and not only was Brady suspended, the team was suspended and starting this season the Patriots will start the quest of the Super Bowl without the services of the Clubs greatest (all-time) player.

The NFL made it official and announced that star QB Tom Brady has officially been suspended (without pay) for four games.

This due to him violating league (NFL) policy on the integrity of the game and being a reflection on the sport, the team and the NFL.

The league hired an independent investigator Ted Wells and his finding were it was “more probable than not that Tom Brady was fully aware of the goings on of the game balls that were used in the AFC Championship Game against the Colts.

In addition the team will be fined $1 million and will forfeit a 2016 first rounder and 2017 fourth-round selection in the NFL Draft, but should the league go farther than this?

The season for the Patriots “kicks off” September 10 and Brady will not be able to return until they play the Colts in Week 6.

These will be the first games that Brady has missed for violation of league policy dating back to when he tore his ACL (Week 1) of the 2008 season.

Robert Kraft, Patriots owner stated last week that his team “had done nothing inappropriate in this process or in violation of the NFL rules.”

He did indicate that the team would accept any punishment the league hands down, so is this not like admitting quilt?

This became a topic that everyone was talking about prior to the build up to the Super Bowl, but at that time both Brady and Belichick denied that they did anything wrong to the footballs prior to the game.

“At no time was there any intent — whatsoever — to try and compromise the integrity of the game,” Belichick said back in January. “I believe now, 100 percent, that I have personally and have absolutely followed every rule to the letter,” he added.

One has to ask if this could happen in the CFL or have they taken action against this happening?

Only Father time will tell?

One thing good about Canadian Sports is you can’t deflate this eh!!
