BC Superweek is pleased to announce that UBC Grand Prix and Tour De White Rock have been added to the 2014 BC Premier Road Series by Cycling BC.
The 2014 BC Premier Road Series consists of five events that have become recognized fixtures on the BC road cycling calendar due to their quality and popularity.
The events include the DEVO Spring Series Classic Stage Race, March 29-30, Race the Ridge, April 26-27, Robert Cameron Law Cycling Series, May 30-June 1, UBC Grand Prix on July 8, and the Tour de White Rock Criterium on July 12.
An event is deemed eligible by Cycling BC to be part of the BC Premier Road Series by hosting the following categories:
· Men Pro 1/2
· Women Pro 1/2
· Men Category 3/4
· Women Category 3/4
· Junior Men Pro 1/2 or Category 3/4
· Junior Women Pro 1/2 or Category 3/4
· Master 40+ Men Pro 1/2 or Category 3/4
· Master 40+ Women Pro 1/2 or Category 3/4
“The opportunity to include two of our BC Superweek races in the BC Premier Road Series shows our commitment to the development of the sport,” said BC Superweek Race Director Mark Ernsting. “By having a diverse level of categories racing in the province’s highest profile road cycling events, BC Superweek and the BC Premier Road Series should serve as an inspiration for cyclists across BC.”

BC Superweek is Canada’s biggest cycling series, with $120,000 in prize money available during nine races over 10 days.
BC Superweek runs from July 4-13, and is made up of the Tour de Delta (July 4, 5, 6), UBC Grand Prix (July 8), Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix (July 9),
