Chiefs 25th Anniversary

Published on

The 2014-15 hockey season will be the 25th for the Chilliwack Chiefs in the BC Hockey League and President Glen Ringdal told a major News Conference at Prospera Centre Monday afternoon, that the special season will celebrate the Fan.
“They,” he said, “just as much as the players, coaches, owners, staff, billets, corporate sponsors and volunteers, are the people who bring to life our slogan “Chiefs Hockey – Chilliwack’s Team”.

To recognize and honour our loyal fans the Club announced that season tickets for the Celebration 2014-15 season will be slashed, in some cases by more than 50%.  Adult prices will tumble from $388 this year to $199 next year.

Seniors can secure their seats for just $189 and all child and youth prices will drop to $99 – down from $230.

The new prices are available only until April 1 at which time they will rise to a level that is still at least 25% lower than 2013-14.

To give existing season ticket holders a chance to encourage their friends and neighbors to secure seats near their own, they will have exclusive seat selection opportunity until March 1 after which it will be first-come – first served.

New buyers will be served in the order that they placed their orders –   which they can do now.

The new prices are by far the lowest in the League and believed to be the lowest overall in the 25 year history of the Team.

The News Conference also unveiled a new Logo to celebrate the 25th Anniversary.
Fans can expect to see it often, in the rink and on merchandise.  Mr. Ringdal noted that a number of exciting events and programs are being developed now to celebrate the Silver Anniversary.
At the same time he pointed out that 2014 will also mark the 10th Anniversary of the construction and opening of Prospera Centre.
He and Sundeep Sandhu, Senior Vice-President for Marketing at Prospera Credit Union, announced that the Title Sponsorship for the building has been extended by a further five years.

“This will be a very exciting year for the Chiefs and all hockey fans in Chilliwack,” Ringdal said.  We expect many of our former fans to return to Prospera Centre and many new ones to join them.  Our on-ice product will be very strong and we plan to have a lot of fun celebrating our fans and our history.”
