Cherry Irate With Suspension
I for one totally dislike “cheap-shot artists” who take liberties trying to get an advantage by ruining the career of other players and this is where Matt Cooke and his “so-called” ability lie.
Recently on Hockey Night in Canada, Cherry went viral with his comments on the knee on knee hit by Cooke who injured Tyson Barrie, who is out for several weeks and unable to play.
Cooke continues to take cheap shots on key players and clearly I do not think he would have done this hit on Gretzky when Semenko was around, cause he never would have lasted.
Semenko fought players such as Terry O’Reilly (November 12/81) and Tim Hunter (April 17/83) who were two of the toughest players the NHL, which Cooke would never had taken on.

Cherry told the media “And when I think of him, I think of Matt Cooke and I think of Matt. I’m not going to show it, what he did to (Savard); put him into retirement. He never played again.”

It is said that Matt Cooke has claimed to have turned his career around, but when you watch him play game after game, a player such as Cooke will never change and to think he is in the NHLPA. Why??
Cooke told the National Post (2011) “It’s not who I am, and it’s not what makes me. It’s just something I have to do to stay in the NHL.” Really???
Two weeks after the interview, Cooke was suspended for 17 games for elbowing an opponent in the head.
Cooke who now plays for the Minnesota, was suspended for seven games which are clearly not enough.
TIME FOR THE NHL TO GET TOUGH ON GUYS LIKE THIS!!!
