CFL Player Of The Week Honour

Published on

A big win versus a division rival couldn’t have come at a better time for the BC Lions as they pounded their way to a 29-13 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders Saturday night in Regina.

Leos got huge efforts on the night, but none more impressive than by running back Andrew Harris who earns Canadian Player and Offensive Player of the Week kudos as announced by the CFL this morning.

Harris enjoyed one the best outings of his career with 138 rushing yards over 18 carries including a 58-yard romp for a touchdown late in the first quarter and a lofty 7.7-yard average rush on the night.
The veteran tailback also added 65 yards through the air on five receptions, a 10-yard punt return and 19-yard kickoff return.
The epic performance from Harris puts him in the league lead for yards from scrimmage with 368, third place in combined yards with 435 and fourth among running backs with 201 rushing yards.
The next BC Lions home game is Saturday, July 19 versus the Montreal Alouettes at 4:00 pm
Thanks to the BC Lions for the info.
