Canucks Partner With Okanagan Hockey School

The Vancouver Canucks, in partnership with Okanagan Hockey School, are pleased to announce their inaugural hockey school camp sessions will open Sunday, August 5th at Surrey Sport & Leisure Centre located at 16555 Fraser Highway, Surrey.

Vancouver Canucks Hockey School operated by Okanagan Hockey School is designed for players of every ability aged 5-14 and is available for registration now.

Three, week-long sessions are offered beginning August 5th and concluding August 24th with each session beginning on the Sunday and finishing on the Friday of that week.

The week-long sessions will include participation as well as appearances by select Canucks personnel, including newly signed Canucks Defenceman Jason Garrison, veteran Canucks Dan Hamhuis and Manny Malhotra, Canucks alumnus Dave Babych, Assistant General Manager Laurence Gilman and Head Athletic Trainer Mike Burnstein.

The camp offers six levels of learning for camp attendees: players born between 2005 and 2007 are invited to register for Learn to Play; players born between 2000 and 2005 can register for Regular Skaters Program; a goaltender program is open to all goaltenders aged 5-14.

Players born between 2000 and 2001 are invited to attend the Defenceman Camp; and the most popular camp offered is the Battle and Compete Camp, open to players born between 1998 and 2001.

Okanagan Hockey School provides a variety of camps and programs for players of all skill levels in cities across British Columbia and Alberta as well as in Austria.
