Cancer Claims “CH”

It’s not often you get to talk to that special person, who is so passionate about their sport, that they are open to any and all question you ask, but this past September that one special person was Chris Hall – better know to many as CH.

Mid-September the Langley Events Centre hosted the National Lacrosse League for the 2015 Annual Award Induction Ceremonies.NLL hall of ame

Two passionate individuals were inducted this year and the love of the sport came to life during the induction speeches, as they named several individuals who were supportive in making this night extra special.

The two inductees were Pat Coyle and Chris Hall former Coach of the Vancouver Stealth who play out of the Langley Events Centre.

Pat was born in Ontario and played for Detroit Turbos, Colorado Mammoth and the Toronto Rock and was traded to the Vancouver Ravens after the 2004 season, a team which folded the following season.

Chris grew up in Victoria and played several sports as a youngster, all which he credits to his Parents.

He won the Champion’s Cup with Calgary and Stealth, then based out of Washington or Everett, just south of Vancouver and Bellingham.

He was fortunate to co-won the Les Bartley Award with Derek Keenan as (NLL) Coach of the year in 2010 and won the Mann Cup with the Shamrocks (three times) – twice as a coach and once as a player.

Following the exceptional evening both were available for interviews being one-on-one.

I was fortunate to grab an interview with Chris who was battling his Cancer and albeit, at times hard to do, he was a true professional and open to any and all questions asked of him.

The interview was filmed by Jorge Parra and edited by Carl Haering and along with Bruce Nolte who helped arrange the interview, they all did an exceptional job.

Thanks to the LEC, Doug Locker, President and GM of the Vancouver Stealth, but mostly Chris Hall for his time.

RIP. You will truly be missed.
