The Kamloops Blazers have picked up 20-year-old forward Logan McVeigh from WHL waivers.
McVeigh has played 267 career WHL games since 09/10 and has 45 goals, 71 assists and 116 points.
In the off-season he calls Kenaston, SK home and is joining the Blazers immediately to suit up against the Vancouver Giants in the first home game for former Giants Bench Boss Don Hay.
The Blazers roster now sits at 25 players including two goaltenders, eight defensemen and 15 forwards.
Blazers have sent 20-year-old goaltender Bolton Pouliot to the Portland Winterhawks this morning to format the roster as they would like to get it down to the required number.
Pouliot played 51 games with the Blazers over the past two seasons. He had a 12-32-0-2 record with the hockey club.
GM Craig Bonner stated “We believe Cole Kehler and Connor Ingram have shown that they are capable of handling the goaltending duties with our hockey club and this transaction opens up a 20-year-old spot for us to acquire a player.”
“We’d like to thank Bolton for his time with the Blazers, and wish him the best of luck,” said Bonner.
