BC Lions Stay In Kamloops Till 2014

In keeping with tradition and staying in a City that has embraced the BC Lions for several years, it’s only fitting that they return to the “Tournament Capital of BC” – Kamloops.

The Lions have extended it’s current contract through 2014 and all parties are delighted with the announcement.

Team President and CEO Dennis Skulsky said “Our time in Kamloops has been nothing short of amazing and this is a World class facility with outstanding corporate support and the dedication of Lions fans in the Interior make this decision very easy.”

The Lions have been in the ‘Tournament Capital’ since 2010, which has no-doubt helped them win back-to-back first-place finishes in the West Division and a Grey Cup championship in 2011.

The City of Kamloops Mayor Peter Milobar states “The City of Kamloops is extremely pleased the BC Lions will be coming back to Kamloops for training camp.

Their decision to extend the contract is a testament to the quality facilities in our city, our hosting abilities and amazing support by our residents and business community.”

The Lions will return to Kamloops in late May with training camp slated to begin on Sunday, June 2nd.

With this announcement – everyone is a WINNER!!!!
