BC Lions Expand Weekly Program

With the Kick-off Set for a home pre-season game the BC Lions officially announced that they are once again returning to 980 CKNW for games this season which marks their eighth consecutive season of exciting BC Lions Football.
Once again hosted by the incomparable Bob “The Moj” Marjanovich and Giulio Caravatta who will let you know the “inside scoop” on the Lions for the upcoming season hitting the airwaves May 31 (Friday) as they host the Edmonton Elks in pre-season action.
Sara Hyde, director, talk and talent at Corus Entertainment 980 CKNW mentioned “We are thrilled to have the BC Lions return to 980 CKNW with the BC Lions celebrating their 70th season and 980 CKNW marking its 80th anniversary this year especially when Vancouver hosts the 111th Grey Cup.”
The station also serves as the new home of BC Lions On Tap Tuesday evening at an expanded time of 10:00-11:00 pm which is hosted by Marjanovich, Matt Baker and Nik Kowalski.,

Tuesday, June 11: Hops Northwest Pub- 48 8th Street, New Westminster
Tuesday, June 18: BC Kitchen at Parq Vancouver– 39 Smithe Street, Vancouver
Tuesday, June 25: Kennedys Pub– 11906 88th Avenue, Delta
Tuesday, July 2: Lougheed Village Bar Grill– 9304 Salish Court, Burnaby
Tuesday, July 9: Boston Pizza Guildford-15125 100 Avenue, Surrey
- Moj and Giulio will host a one-hour pre and 30-minute post-game shows on every game day.
- Head coach Rick Campbell once again makes a weekly appearance on the Monday Morning Quarterback with Simi Sara on 980 CKNW.
- New for this season, there will be a dedicated game day segment on the Jas Johal Show on 980 CKNW.
- The Lions Audio Network serves Lions fans across British Columbia as we welcome back long-time affiliate stations including CFAX 1070 in Victoria, AM 1150 in Kelowna and Radio NL serving Kamloops, Ashcroft, Shuswap/Sorrento, Clearwater, Logan Lake, Blue River and Avola.
- Once again, the Lions’ partnership with CORUS Entertainment includes regular stories and interviews on Global BC and promotional content on FM radio affiliates CFOX and Rock 101.
- The Lions’ rich history with the radio station included airing games from 1988-2003.
