Basketball BC President Diana Chan congratulates Allison and Mike McNeill for their many years of dedication and remarkable contribution to the Canadian Women’s Senior National team. “The breadth and depth of Allison’s involvement in basketball in Canada is a story not yet completed and certainly not yet fully told.
Her extraordinary influence as a coach and role model for athletes in BC, Canada and around the world will be felt for a long time to come – on and off the court Executive Director Lawrie Johns added “Allison’s work with the national team has been phenomenal as she worked at an international level to bring success to our sport at the London Olympics.
It is a great story.
What is not as well known is her passion working with young athletes and their coaches. Allison and Mike have been involved with our Steve Nash Youth Basketball program from its inception and continue to be.
We celebrate Allison and her staff’s success and wish her and Mike all the very best as they move into the next chapter in their lives – a chapter that we know will include athletes, coaching clinics as well as some time for themselves.”
Both have been involved in the game for decades and started in Delta, while it was “sort of’ new to the area.
They have achieved success in all aspects of the game and both have huge respect from the world of Basketball, regardless of where your travels take them.
