Lions Hammer Saskatchewan 46-20

It’s interesting if you ask anyone why the BC Lions fans come out in “droves” when Saskatchewan comes to town, but this game was no exception.

Green and White sweaters were mixed in the crowd along with the orange and black colors of the BC Lions and it was extremely noticeable for anyone attending.

Entering the game the BC Lions are 2-3 this season under the dome and looking at snapping a two-game losing streak, a record that saw them lose three in a row on  home turf dating back to June/July 2004.

With Travis Lulay out of the line-up they are looking at the strong arm of #10 Jonathon Jennings who calls Columbus home in the off-season.

Lions QB Travis Lulay has been taken off the 6-game injured list, thus allowing him to practice with the team and his  overall status will be updated in the next while.

He attended high school in Columbus prior to heading to a Division 11 NCAA School in Michigan where he immediately displayed his talent on the club completing 799 passes for a total yardage of 10,710 for an average of 13.5 yards p0er pass.

In addition he managed a completion rate that helped him throw 96 TD passes in the 43 games he played in his college career.

Off the field, Jennings worked to obtain a Finance degree while working toward his dream of playing in the pros.

This game was a white-wash for the Lions who dominated from the opening kick-off to the final play and if this is what they can expect from Jennings, this guy has a great career and the Lions have an outstanding QB in the mix.

The Lions continued strong play in the second half and on their first play from scrimmage they entertained the crowd on a Jonathon Jennings 82 yard TD pass to Emmanuel Arceneaux giving them the 26-5 lead.

From there is was simply an uphill battle for the Green and White, but try as they might all they could muster-up was a blocked punt for a Keenan MacDougall TD and a Brett Smith TD pass to Naaman Roosevelt.
