2018 Superstar Series
The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club has announced it’s 2018 Superstar Series roster, presented by Blakes, benefitting The BC Sports Hall of Fame & Special Olympics, that will bring a number of former Major League Baseball greats out to historic Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium this coming season.
J.P. Arencibia (July 19), Mookie Wilson (July 30), Justin Morneau (August 14) and Cliff Floyd (August 29) have been added to this year’s Vancouver Canadians Promotional Schedule which will be announced in its entirety in the coming days.

J.P. Arencibia (pronounced air-en-cee-bee-ah) – Thursday, July 19 – 7:05
Arencibia was one of the Toronto Blue Jays most anticipated catching prospects after getting selected in the 1st Round of the 2007 MLB First-Year Player Draft and later named the 2010 Most Valuable Player of the Pacific Coast League.
J.P. broke into the Major Leagues with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2010 and played four seasons with the Blue Jays hitting .212 with 64 home runs in 380 games before spending his final two years with Texas (2014) and Tampa Bay (2015) before announcing his retirement at the age of 31.
J.P. was known for his social media presence and unwavering commitment to Jays Care Foundation.
Mookie Wilson – Monday, July 30 – 7:05 pm vs. Eugene Emeralds

After ten seasons with the Mets, Wilson was traded to the Blue Jays in 1989 and helped Toronto to the 1991 American League post-season where they would fall to the eventual Champions, the Minnesota Twins.
The native of Bamberg, South Carolina stole 327 bases and played in more than 1,400 Major League games.
Justin Morneau – Tuesday, August 14 – 7:05 pm vs. Tri-City Dust Devils
Known primarily for his time with the Minnesota Twins (2003-2012), Morneau has also answered the call on numerous occasions to represent Canada on the International stage and is currently an executive within the Minnesota Twins organization.
Cliff Floyd – Wednesday, August 29 – 7:05 pm vs. Everett Aquasox
With a 17-year Major League career now in the rear view mirror, Canadians fans will be happy to hear that former Montreal Expos slugger Cliff Floyd will
Floyd, 45, played five seasons with the Montreal Expos making his debut at just 20 years old (1993) followed by six seasons with the Florida Marlins including the 1997 team that won the World Series over the Cleveland Indians.
He was named a National League All-Star in 2001, his final season with the Marlins.
Floyd would reach the World Series once last time in 2008 with the Tampa Bay Rays who fell to the Philadelphia Phillies.
