Canada’s Women’s Sevens Team Staff have named the Maple Leafs Roster that are looking to defend its Championship Title at the Hokkaido 7s tournament in Japan September 19 – 24.

The matches will be played from September 23 and 24 and on the roster of top sevens players are Abbotsford local players Tausani and Nakisa Levale.

Both players have been highly successful when representing BC and are now getting the chance to step up and represent their country on the international stage.

The tournament will give many centralized and up-and-coming athletes valuable international competition ahead of the HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series getting underway October 20-21, 2018 in Denver, Colorado.

Canada will be coached by Morgan Williams, with assistance from former Canadian Internationals Kelly Russell and Mandy Marchak.

Kick off times will be made available as the games get closer and information from the tournament Facebook page suggests that there will be no live streaming available, but matches will be uploaded to YouTube at the end of each day.

If you’re a fan for Rugby 7’s, I am hearing that the Tournament organizers for the 2019 HSBC Canada Sevens Tournament have announced full details of all ticket sale dates and package prices.

Early Bird tickets will be released October 3, while public access will follow a week later on October 10.

The HSBC Canada Sevens is one of the biggest sporting spectacles in the country and drew record crowds last year in excess of 77,000 over the course of the two-day event at BC Place.
