As the Rugby 7’s come to a close at BC Place it’s been announced that four of the World’s top National Rugby Nations, will be playing at BC Place in October which will be the inaugural Halloween Rugby Weekend,

The four Nations include New Zealand All Blacks XV, the Flying Fijians, USA as well as the host Team Canada.

The games will feature the newly formed All Blacks XV squaring off against the Flying Fijians on Halloween night and team Canada hitting the pitch against their continental rivals USA on Friday the 30th October.

The event in Vancouver is the first leg of a three-city world tour by the All Blacks XV team and was announced prior to the final of the wildly successful Canada Rugby 7s tournament also staged at BC Place.

I had a chance to catch up with the Two National-Team Players—All Black XV Nathan Harris and Team Fiji’s Ben Volavola who were open to the media at the Canada 7s tournament.

Both were available to the media to which Nathan Harris mentioned “Vancouver is a great city and BC Place an exciting venue. I know the All Blacks XV will love playing here.  This would be an awesome way for rugby fans to come out and celebrate Halloween.”

“We’ve seen fans go crazy for the Canada 7’s in Vancouver and we know they will be equally excited about the Halloween Rugby Weekend,” said Ben Volavola. “It will be a big occasion for the players to entertain such a fun and lively crowd. They love their rugby.”

“We have a rich history of hosting international rugby here in Vancouver, most notably with the annual HSBC Canada Sevens. Through the work of our Sport Hosting Vancouver partnership, we are proud to be hosting the inaugural Halloween Rugby Weekend in 2020,” said Michelle Collens of Sport Hosting Vancouver. “We look forward to working with our partners to build a new tradition over Halloween.”

An exclusive ticket pre-sale window will be available to Rugby Canada subscribers and Canada 7s ticket purchasers starting on Friday March 13 at 11am.

The public ticket sale will open on Monday March 16 at Ticketmaster.ca
