Coming of three respectable wins over this past weekend has the Eagles looking at advancing in the standings moving up on the current season record of 12-9-2-1 through 24 games scoring 79 goals.
One stat to remember is that the Vee’s have played less games (19) holding down a record of 11-5-1-2 with 1 O/T win scoring 58 goals on the season.
The trip see’s them motivated and on this night they start Davidson with a GAA of 3.21 and a SV% of 0.905 while the Vee’s went with Adam Scheel who has a GAA of 2.22 and a SV% .928.
The interdivisional match-up see’s Penticton with their sights set on pulling out a key win, but the Eagles have other thoughts.
The trip for the team saw them leave the arena at 11, followed by a quick stop in Merritt for lunch around 2ish then on to Penticton, with not much snow along the way and full credit to both drivers (Nick and Zee) who made everyone feel safe.
This game sees the Eagles wearing the green uniforms, with the Vee’s wearing the white and blue uniforms.
The first saw the Vee’s outshot the Eagles by a 9-5 margin with Scheel playing the full 20, while both Davidson and Tallarico exchanged time in the blue paint.
The Eagles had a better start and finish for the middle period having chance after chance only to have any shots turned aside.
While the Eagle shots were kept to a minimum the Vee’s sent several quality shots at Tallarico with him making several remarkable stops keeping the game within reach.
The Vee’s sent 10 shots at Tallarico for a two period total of 19 while the Eagles sent 6 at Scheel for a two period total of 11.
At times the Vee’s had more quality chances, but regardless of trailing by three, the Eagles fought hard in hopes of making the third far more favourable for them with better results.
The third was the start the Eagles were looking but came up short being kept off not only the scoresheet, but also limited to zero shots, something we have not seen in the past.
Disillusion, Disbelief and Dismay is the only way to describe the trip to the South Okanagan Events Centre for a mid-week game.

The Eagles return home to face Chilliwack Friday, November 17th at the “Nest” followed by a game Sunday, November 19th at 4 pm as they host the Wenatchee Wild.
