While everyone is set to answer the question of a new years resolution, the Seattle Seahawks have other pointed questions that need to be answered.

One that Pete Carroll might want to find an answer to is who is going to be punt returns now that Tyler Lockett is out for the season and if so will it be Paul Richardson who steps up?

It should be noted that Richardson finished the 2014 season as the team’s primary kick-off returner following the trade of Percy Harvin.

He has four returns this season for an average of 23.8 yds. per attempt as well as the fact he has handled (almost) every other kick-off returns for the past two seasons.

Sherman has been the official “back-up” all season and currently listed as the starter on the clubs depth chart.

Overall Sherman has little experience managing only three official returns in his career, but one was for 64 yards against the Bears in 2015.

Other candidates for this include former Skyline and UW star Kasen Williams and recently-acquired J.D. McKissic, who was recently claimed off waivers from Atlanta prior to the Arizona game.

Other possibilities are that Williams was a regular punt returner at Washington as a Freshman and Junior managing 20 returns for 153 yards.

Another interesting individual is McKissic who is an undrafted rookie free agent, who handled kickoff and punt returns at Arkansas State.
There he finished with 23 punt returns for 130 yards and also managed to kickoff and punt returning for the Falcons in the pre-season, one which included a kickoff return for 101 yards for a TD.
Other News:
It’s stated that Michael Bennett reached a three-year contract extension keeping his around through the 2020 season.
Apparently the contract talks began about six months ago.
His deal begins with the 2018 season and is worth possibly up to $31.5 million, including $16 million in the first year of the new contract.

You tell me – are sports Athletes overpaid?
