Video technology has changed not only the world, but all sports in a way that we can only imagine and simply put – might never know the end result.

One has to ask if this could or does exist in minor sports from one team to another to take winning to a new level of the game could involve the use of drugs or something even worse!!

Now we are hearing that cheating is involved in the game in a way that no one expected to happen in the form of a simple watch, but not just any watch – an Apple watch.

Watching the other team to get the “jump” has been going on for decades and it was and is a manner in which any team can gain an advantage of the other team’s playbook.

Realistically no team is immune from this form of cheating and if they are taking the liberty of checking athletes for Doping at the Olympics, why not start at the grassroots of the sport.

We are hearing that the concern never rose until about two weeks ago after the NY Yankees GM Brian Cashman officially filed a complaint with the commissioner’s office of the MLB.

Apparently being in first place the Red Sox must have thought they had “special” privileges unlike any other club.

Now we are hearing that MLB investigators have determined that the Red Sox derived a scheme to steal hand signals from the oppositions catchers as witnessed in a video taken from the Yankees dugout all during a three game series in Boston.

It’s reported that a number of Red Sox staff were looking at a watch of one of the training staff in which the trainer (apparently) passed a message to others in the dugout.

The office of the Commissioner contacted the Red Sox who admitted that their trainers had indeed stolen or received signals from video replay personnel.

They mentioned that he in turn would then relay that information to Red Sox players to better assist them in their plays.

As if no one expected it to happen and just maybe the next best soap opera, the Red Sox filed a complaint against the Yankees claiming that the team uses a camera from its TV network so as to also steal signs which to the surprise of no one – the Yankees clearly denied!!

In a move of “What’s on First and Who’s on Second” it’s unclear as to what penalties Commissioner Rob Manfred will issue.

Will it be against the Red Sox or will he take the high road and simply order a longer investigation to determine the extent of the “Strike-zone”.

It might be called “Day’s Of Our Lives – Part 2” and just how close to detail will he act on the counter complaint filed?

When asked commissioner Rob Manfred told the media when asked at Fenway Park “We will conduct a thorough investigation on both sides and we’re 100% comfortable that it is not an ongoing issue.”

We are hearing that the use of any electronic device are not to be used in the dugout of any club or team.

One can only ask – Should Electronics be Banned for all sports????

Stay Tuned!!!!
