BCABBA BC Championships

The Vancouver Pro Am and Expo kicked-off at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre this past weekend.

The event was a combination featuring the body builders coming to Vancouver to perform in hopes of vying for a top finish in the BCABBA tiles.

Reflex addThe event (BCABBA BC Championships) featured a bodybuilding classic for men and women’s fitness under the sails in the two days.

It showcased figure and bikini as well as the IFBB Men’s 212 bodybuilding and physique classic for the Women, plus the bikini and figure competitions.

The performances were on the main stage which was adjacent to the vendors in attendance.

All participants were judged by the best performances in bodybuilding, physique, fitness, routine and classic physique as well as the IFBB category.

One that is seldom spoken about or even thought of from fans attending is Wheelchair bodybuilding event which saw several participants competing and for a first-time spectator – it was extraordinary to watch.

The event began at 9am with the Women’s and Men’s bodybuilding, which was followed by the Women’s physique, mixed pairs and women’s physique event.

Following a short intermission the completion continued with the BCABBA fitness routine and figure competition.

This was followed up by the IFBB pro fitness and figure class for those listed on the preliminary card of the weekend.

The evening beginning at 5pm, with those from the morning session advancing, which started with the BCABBA Women’s bodybuilding top 5 routines and awarded the top finishes followed by the Men’s top 5 overall awards.

Men’s BB overall and best poser awards from the competitors took to the stage this was followed by men’s wheelchair bodybuilding competition and the women’s physique and the awards handed out by the judges also on tap were the women’s overall physique and best poser

The BCABBA mixed pairs took to the stage which was followed by the IFBB men’s pro routines/confirmation and physique routines followed by the IFBB women’s competition routines and confirmations as well as fitness routines in this class.

The competition continued following a quick “time-out” then headed into the fitness, figure routines and the fitness 2 PC awards.

The evening concluded with the IFBB men’s 212 and fitness completion followed by the Women’s physique and men’s physique for the pose-down and concluded with the awards in the pro-figure completion, with the day’s events drawing to a close.
